BrettYoung Becomes Founding Partner of Sustainable Golf in Canada

NFP and ECHO Robotics Also Join Growing Partner Network

Ottawa, ON – May 25, 2026 – The National Golf Course Owners Association Canada (NGCOA Canada) and the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association (CGSA), in partnership with the GEO Foundation for Sustainable Golf, are proud to welcome BrettYoung as a Founding Partner of Sustainable Golf in Canada alongside inaugural Founding Partner, The Toro Company.

BrettYoung is a privately held, family-owned agribusiness headquartered in Winnipeg, Manitoba. With more than 90 years of history in agriculture, BrettYoung employs approximately 250 people across several processing and distribution facilities across Canada.

“We are excited to be a founding partner of the Sustainable Golf in Canada program, in support of NGCOA Canada and CGSA members on their sustainability journey,” said Travis Unger, Vice-President, Professional Turf and Reclamation. “Innovation drives BrettYoung’s turf management philosophy, with a focus on improving product efficiency and helping reduce overall inputs. Sustainability is at the heart of everything we do.”

In addition to becoming a Founding Partner, BrettYoung has also renewed its long-standing partnership within NGCOA Canada’s Golfmax Purchasing Program — further reinforcing its commitment to supporting golf facilities across Canada.

“Welcoming BrettYoung as a Founding Partner alongside The Toro Company marks an important milestone for the program,” said Nathalie Lavallée, CEO of NGCOA Canada. “The addition of BrettYoung, NFP, and ECHO Robotics reflects the growing momentum behind sustainability in the golf industry and strengthens the long-term support, resources, and opportunities available to our members.”

The program also welcomes NFP, an Aon company, as a Premier Partner and ECHO Robotics as a Supporting Partner — further expanding a growing network of organizations investing in the future of sustainable golf in Canada.

As NGCOA Canada’s designated insurance partner, NFP delivers tailored commercial insurance and employee benefits solutions designed specifically for NGCOA Canada members and their teams, supporting long-term operational success across the industry.

ECHO Robotics, a National Affiliate of NGCOA Canada, provides innovative 100% electric robotic solutions that help golf facilities improve efficiency while supporting more sustainable maintenance practices.

“The momentum behind Sustainable Golf in Canada continues to grow, and that support is critical as more facilities prioritize long-term sustainability,” said Kathryn Wood, CEO of CGSA. “These partnerships help ensure members have access to valuable programs, trusted resources, and industry-leading support throughout their sustainability journey. Thank you to BrettYoung for stepping forward as a founding partner and to NFP and ECHO Robotics for their initiative to join the sustainable golf movement.”
