Golf Event Manager

Position: Golf Event Manager
Facility: Golden Eagle Golf Club is a 36 Hole championship facility located in Pitt Meadows, BC.
Background: The Golf Event Manager is responsible for driving revenues and managing expenses relating to the golf experience. This includes a focus in golf event sales, planning and execution.

Requirements for the successful candidate:

• Hospitality or golf experience an asset
• Ability to deliver an extremely high level of customer service
• Basic computer knowledge (word, excel, canva and outlook)
• Above average communication skills, both written and oral
• Maintains a professional and positive image
• Ability to lead and motivate team members in a fast-paced environment
• Must have flexible schedule and be able to work weekends, mornings and evenings
• Sales and event planning experience
• Public speaking

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Administrative duties pertaining to golf event sales, planning and reporting
• Cultivate new leads and business through internal and external sales practices
• Lead event set up and execution (tournaments, Eagle Cups and member events)
• Work with banquet/F&B teams to ensure event details and meal service are timely and consistent
• Act as a key liaison between the golf club and our members/guests
• Coach concierge team on membership retention, payments and reconciliations
• Assist Director of Operations in managing staff in the golf shop, backshop and kiosks
• Help create a cohesive and efficient team while promoting a positive work environment
• Revenue management (tee sheet maximization, upsell, social media, promotions, etc.)
• Maximize operational efficiencies and monitor expenses (labour, supplies, etc.)
• This role is expected to assist in all areas of the operation including retail, food & beverage, marketing and budget forecasting

Compensation:

• $60,000 – 70,000 annually based on candidate, bonus and commissions
