NGCOA Canada Announces
Jim Thompson as Atlantic Regional Director
The National Golf Course Owners Association Canada (NGCOA Canada) is pleased to announce that Jim Thompson’s interim role as Atlantic Regional Director has been extended to a permanent part-time position.
In addition to Jim’s role as National Membership Director, he has been managing the Atlantic Chapter since July when Dallas Desjardins accepted a new career opportunity. During that time, the decision was made to contract out the Atlantic GOLFEXPO management to a 3rd party and align the Regional Director role with Jim’s national responsibilities.
“Jim has always been highly engaged in our Atlantic Chapter, making numerous NGCOA Canada Atlantic member visits every year and ongoing communications with the membership”, states Jeff Calderwood, CEO, NGCOA Canada. “He knows the market well in all four Atlantic provinces and, as a former golf course owner himself, is well respected by the entire industry. Combined with our new Atlantic GOLFEXPO strategy, this is a very effective solution for the future of our Atlantic Canada services to the membership.”
Jim notes, ”I have had the opportunity to meet many members of the Atlantic Chapter already so this will be a very easy transition. I look forward to helping each and every golf business in Atlantic Canada achieve their business goals.”
Jim can be reached at email@example.com or 866-626-4262 extension 26.
