Katepwa Beach Golf Club is seeking a new Superintendent.
 

Katepwa Beach Golf Club is located at Katepwa Beach, Saskatchewan. Golf at Katepwa dates back almost as far as the Province of Saskatchewan itself. Carved deep into the vast plains of Southern Saskatchewan by ancient glacial melt waters, the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley provides a stunning setting for one of the true hidden gems of golf on the Great Plains—The Katepwa Beach Golf Club.

With unparalleled views of Katepwa Lake and the Qu'Appelle Valley from every tee box to the pristine fairways and greens, the course will test even the most accomplished golfers yet still provides novices with a memorable day of golf.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Turf Management
• A diploma or degree in Turfgrass Management is an asset
• Must be an excellent team leader and have good communication skills
• Must have or willing to obtain a Saskatchewan Pesticide License
• Irrigation knowledge in repairs and installation. Knowledge of Toro irrigation systems/ability to diagnose and repair any issues
• Mechanical ability for minor equipment repair, cart repair and ability to sharpen and set reels
• Knowledge of Toro equipment an asset
• The ability to interact in a professional manner with members and the public
• Maintain the course to the high standards that our members and public have come to expect
• Have a valid driver’s license

Duties:

• Assist with staff supervision and scheduling
• Coordinate all aspects of course maintenance with the assistant superintendent as well as assisting staff in all aspects of the general maintenance of the course.
• Coordinating with GM/board of directors on golf course maintenance
• Assist with daily operation and maintenance
• Supervise staff projects and ensure projects are completed properly and timely application of fertilizer/pesticides/fungicides
• Irrigation repairs and troubleshooting

Employment term is March 15 to November 15, eight-month period.
A competitive wage depending on experience and credentials.
