Position Summary

• Plans, promotes and directs all golf activities (From March to November)
• Sets time for play; establishes tee sheets for booking purposes
• Hires, supervises, directs, trains, evaluates and dismisses: Pro shop, back shop, starters and player assistant employees. Provides leadership and schedules staff hours to assure that the customers are fully served and all work gets assigned and completed.
• Orders, maintains and controls an inventory of merchandise for the golf shop
• Set pricing, advertise and promote specials and sales in the pro shop
• Liaise with vendor representatives to determine new trends and products for the industry
• Overseeing the care and maintenance of the Club’s physical assets (carts/clubs)
• Maintains attractive, orderly appearance in the proshop
• Assists with planning and implementing of tournaments/special events
• Attends all staff, management, golf tournament and other applicable meetings
• Maintains records relating to green fee rounds, power cart rentals, pro shop sales and other statistics
• Provides monthly operational and revenue reports
• Assists in the development of short- and long-range plans for improvements to the club facilities, courses and programs.
• Monitors the condition of the physical facilities assuring for safety and pleasurable use
• Developing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure a safe environment
• Maintains visible presence on the course and in the pro shop during peak times of play
• Deals with the public in a professional and courteous manner
• Ensuring highest quality customer service for members and guests to the course
• Provides golf related information for the Club’s newsletter and website
• Interpret the “Rules of Golf” and provide clarification and answer questions about the sport of golf including etiquette and pace of play, assuring for accuracy and professionalism
• Makes suggestions for improvements/innovative ways to bring new customers to the sport of golf
• Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned by the General Manager
• Reports to the General Manager


• 2+ years’ experience in a management role (golf industry experience preferred)
• Own/reliable transportation
• Experience with Tee-On Golf Systems an asset but not required
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• Willingness to work extended hours (this is not a 9-5 job)
• English and French spoken and written

Salary: Negotiable
