Golf Invitational Huge Success
The 2021 Alberta Golf Invitational held at Woodside Golf Course on August 19th was a huge success!
NGCOA Canada members were treated to a full day of fun, fantastic golf, great food and of course some friendly competition by our amazing hosts. The day kicked off with showers in the forecast but that did not deter the teams for striving for gold at the Mini Olympics pre-golf.
Great thinking by Team Woodside to host one of the events indoors in their new golf sim room as the clouds opened and the rain took a turn for the worst. Luckily the showers subsided in time and the golfers were in the hunt for the Championship belts to determine who would be the 2021 NGCOA Canada Golf Invitational Leaders.
Golfers were treated to a full banquet experience post golf, a first for this event in some time due to the Pandemic. NGCOA Canada members had the opprotuntiy to enjoy great food and drinks together and swap stories from the past months.
A big thank you to Chris McNicol and the entire team at Woodside for hosting us; it was a day to remember for all. Also thank you to our NGCOA Canada Platinum Partners for sponsoring this event plus all of our hole sponsors.
