July was another very busy one and brought more changes as to how you run your business during COVID-19. The Ontario Government slowly & methodically moved all Ontario Public Health Units to Stage 2 and then the majority into Stage 3 which now allows for (reduced) indoor dining, increased mass gatherings of up to 100 people outdoors and 50 people indoors, which opens the door for shotgun tournaments in the future at your facility. Now they you are open and restrictions are continuing to lessen, it is back to business at NGCOA Canada.
We have now firmed up the location and date for our annual Golf Invitational, which will be held at the incredible Stanley Thompson classic St. Thomas Golf & Country Club (currently ranked #38 in the recent ScoreGOLF ranking) on Thursday, October 8th. Be sure to add this to your calendar as we anticipate having a great member event and would love to have you join us!
Next week, we will also be hosting our annual Summer Coffee Break Gatherings. However, we will be doing it a little differently in 2020 and instead of meeting in person this year, we will be doing these in small online ZOOM video calls. The premise and timing will be the same so that you can connect with some of your local golf course operators before the day gets going to see how they are handling different situations during this unique golf season. There is no cost to attend, but you need to contact me directly to confirm your interest and I will send you the link to attend.
As well, this past month you would have received your annual NGCOA Canada membership invoice with your Golfmax Purchasing Program statement in the mail. Please look through the Golfmax statement closely and if there are suppliers that you are using but you are not seeing savings recorded, please let me know immediately as I want to be sure that you are getting all the value you can from these agreements. If you have any questions regarding your annual membership invoice, or need it resent to you, please reach out to me immediately.
It has been an honour to be here for you during this unique golf season. I have been in touch with virtually every NGCOA Canada Southwestern Ontario member in the past few months, and many of you I have spoken with on a weekly basis. If there is anything that you may need help with, or have any specific questions, please reach out to me at your convenience.
I look forward to finally seeing many of you in person again in the coming months.
Until then, please don’t hesitate to call me.
Take care and be safe!
