Duties and accountabilities as will include, but are not limited to the following: While this outline attempts to be all encompassing, this position will evolve beyond these categories. This role is expected to anticipate business needs and to do anything that will help Westwood Plateau Golf accomplish its department objectives.

  • Creating a positive working environment, with high customer service standards, teamwork, and mutual respect for staff members. - Manage all operations for the golf department, Driving Range, Executive Course, Country Club Course, Golf Simulators. This includes, but is not limited to, the management of staff, equipment, operations, customer experience and tee sheet.
  • Working with the Workforce Development Manager in Creating, Implementing and Updating Golf Training Manuals for the Executive Course and Country Club.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills to motivate staff towards continuous improvement, innovative recommendations, and enhanced productivity.
  • Train and mentor, the Assistant Golf Operations Managers
  • Assist in creating opportunities for training and development skills for all employees within the Golf Operation.
  • Ensure that the golf club members and its guests comply with the golf club policies and regulations and where necessary ensure appropriate disciplinary measures are taken.
  • Develop positive public relations with members and guests.
  • Ensure that all membership and guest inquiries, concerns and problems are dealt with efficiently and professionally.
  • Control expenses through a detailed annual budget and monitoring of planned versus actual performance.
  • Seek opportunities for greater cost efficiency in all areas of the operation including but not limited to labor, cost of sales, supplies, and maintenance.
  • Conduct payroll for Golf Operations.
  • Attract both new and repeat business through innovative special events and features.
  • Provide direction and guidance for all employees, ensuring that the guest experience is delivered in the intended manner and all required performance reviews are conducted in a timely manner.
  • Complete weekly schedules for the golf departments and monitor labor vs traffic trends.
  • Work with the Golf Events Manager in achieving successful tournaments and golf events.
  • Ensure coordination of all golf leagues between both facilities.
  • Such other duties as Westwood Plateau may request from time to time, which are reasonably consistent with your abilities and responsibilities
