Fall Chapter Meeting
October 9th in conjunction with the Guelph Turfgrass Institute (GTI) Field Day
The NGCOA Canada SWO Chapter and the Guelph Turfgrass Institute (GTI) invite you to join us for an educational Chapter Meeting & Field Day next week in Guelph.
The NGCOA Canada meeting portion will be focused on how to make positive changes at the end of this season and during the off-season to help improve your facility’s financial bottom line!
The GTI Field Day portion will highlight current research being conducted by University of Guelph and OMAFRA researchers including new turf species and cultivar evaluation, turf disease management strategies, fertility trials, drought tolerance and water conservation, biological control of weeds and diseases, improving golf course winter hardiness, tree disease management, etc.
There is no cost to attend the morning NGCOA Canada Fall Chapter Meeting and GTI Field Day session, but we do ask that you register in advance so that we can have adequate material on hand for all sessions.
Following the morning meetings there will also be an optional Luncheon & Golf Networking Event at Guelph’s newest facility, the Victoria Park Valley Golf Club. As this is event is open to all GTI Field Day attendees as well as NGCOA Canada members, there will be a nominal registration fee collected which includes your lunch, golf and cart with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Ontario Turfgrass Research Foundation (OTRF) to help support future research.
