Greetings from your Regional Director

With any luck we will all be watching the grass greening and the tee sheets being filled very soon. It has been a very long winter for many in our region. Or was it? Perhaps we just got spoiled with a very early start in 2012 and a perception that this was the new norm. With a good old Canadian winter soon to be in the rear view mirror, here’s wishing you the best success for the 2013 season.

Spring Warm Up Meeting Recap
It was wonderful to see so many members in attendance at the 2013 Spring Warm Up meeting on March 21st. Thank you to the Patterson family and the team at Anderson Links Golf Club for their help in putting on such a great event.

A new format was implemented for this year’s Spring Warm Up focusing on a town hall format rather than breakout sessions. This new format allowed attendees to take in ALL scheduled presentations and Q&A in one location. There was great dialogue during the Open Forum which allowed members the opportunity to discuss ‘issues of the day’. The Association recognizes the importance of these peer-to-peer dialogues and will make sure to incorporate this feature in future meetings. 

The Golfmax tradeshow delivered a full representation of 23 suppliers and members happily  departed armed with information (and samples) on a slew of  new products, services, promotions and savings opportunities for the upcoming year.
